Xiaomi has confirmed the launch in Spain of its new tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 5, which was first presented for China.
The new tablet has been announced alongside the new Xiaomi 11 T and Xiaomi 11 T Pro . In this way, the tablet market is heating up, after a season in which there were hardly any interesting competitors beyond Apple and Samsung; Xiaomi is not the only company that can rekindle the sector with new launches.
In the case of the Pad 5, Xiaomi is committed to a powerful device but at a good price, based on a Snapdragon 860 processor accompanied by 6 GB of RAM. It is a tablet oriented to both productivity and entertainment, and that is why it has important elements for both tasks.
When it comes to entertainment, the 11-inch screen stands out, which is more noticeable thanks to the ‘all screen’ design with reduced borders and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The resolution will be 2560 x 1600, but more importantly, the refresh rate will be 120Hz for a smoother experience. The panel also claims to cover part of the DCI-P3 color gamut (although how much is not specified), and the four speakers with Dolby Vision-Atmos will allow us to enjoy movies and music.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 will be compatible with the Xiaomi Smart Pen , a touch pen that can be paired directly with the apps with the integrated buttons, allowing us to switch between different modes, take screenshots or take notes. It is magnetically charged on the tablet itself, reaching 100% in just 18 minutes. The tablet is also expected to be compatible with keyboard covers for work, and the operating system has been adapted for multitasking, with multiple apps at the same time.
In the design, the rear camera set stands out, although in reality there is only one sensor, 13 MP, added to the 8 MP front camera. The battery is 8,720 mAh and the fast charge is 22.5 W.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 will be available in Spain starting at 349 euros for the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and for 399 euros with 256 GB of storage.
