Modesto Abreu, reality TV stylist and increasingly one of the Bravo universe’s most in-demand dressers, has two new housewives on his books, and the details are already intriguing, even before the names drop.
Abreu has spent roughly four years building a client list that reads like a Bravohead’s fantasy team: Vicki Gunvalson, Meredith Marks, Madison LeCroy, Alexia Nepola, Lindsay Hubbard, Dolores Catania, Brynn Whitfield, and Katie Ginella. The operation started, as so many good things do, with a slightly chaotic favour: styling Brynn Whitfield in a red House of CB dress for her first appearance on Watch What Happens Live, then pivoting days later to dress Madison LeCroy for BravoCon.
New Faces on RHONY and RHONJ
Two new clients are joining the roster, one headed to Real Housewives of New York and one to Real Housewives of New Jersey. Abreu has already completed confessional looks and the big cast photo shoot for both. He can’t share names yet, but the styling direction for the RHONJ shoot is worth the wait anyway.
‘New Jersey is known for gowns and glitter,’ he says, ‘but this time around, they really tried to do something fashion-forward and quite vampy.’ Bravo, apparently, came in with a very specific brief: sexy short dresses or separates, a lot of black, gold, and leather, no big gowns. ‘It’s such a departure for Bravo, who tend to want the women in neon and sequins,’ Abreu notes. His client landed on a gold corset, a mini skirt, and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Bravo greenlit RHONJ Season 15 on 24 March 2026, confirming Dolores Catania, Teresa Giudice, and Melissa Gorga as returning cast, with additional members to be announced. Abreu is already across the new additions. And Andy Cohen has teased a Season 15 first during filming, so whatever Abreu is dressing his client for, it sounds like it matters.
There is also a franchise milestone looming. RHONJ housewives are, famously, the only ones whose opening credits don’t feature them holding a prop, no diamond, apple, or snowflake. Abreu has heard from someone on set that this might finally change. ‘We will find out for sure in a couple of weeks or so,’ he says.
LaQuan Smith, RHUGT, and the Reality TV Fashion Battle
While new clients generate the headlines, Abreu’s existing relationships are producing the most interesting work. For Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Meredith Marks, he pulled a runway look from LaQuan Smith’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, described by Vogue as centred on ‘animalistic glamour’ with python prints across leather and silk organza. The specific piece: a rainbow python dress with a bubble skirt, worn by Marks on a cast trip to San Francisco. A fully sequined LaQuan look, fresh from the February runway, was pulled in March for the same trip.
‘When I saw it on the runway, I was like, “That is sickening. I need it,”‘ Abreu says. Getting it required the kind of slow-burn relationship-building (dinners, parties, making sure PRs know and trust you) that doesn’t show up on screen but drives the whole machine.
Abreu is also currently dressing Vicki Gunvalson for her return to Real Housewives of Orange County and for Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (RHUGT). The RHUGT ‘Roaring 20th’ cast includes Gunvalson alongside Lisa Barlow, Gizelle Bryant, Teresa Giudice, Luann de Lesseps, Kyle Richards, and Porsha Williams. The nine-episode season travels through Orange County, Beverly Hills, Atlanta, Miami, New York City, and the Berkshires.
Abreu even filmed a scene for the show, though it may not survive the edit: he was in the bathroom with Gunvalson, who was dressed as Taylor Swift for a Halloween party, fielding producer instructions to ask her about Luann de Lesseps’s singing. ‘What is my life?’ he says. Reasonable question.
On the brand access front, he is candid about the ongoing friction. Emails go unanswered. Labels still hesitate to associate with reality TV. His workaround is consignment through retailers like Moda Operandi and Nordstrom, who carry the designers he wants. He thinks the wall will come down in a few years. Given that he is already pulling fresh LaQuan Smith runway looks within weeks of a show, and ChatGPT-ing custom Chanel-inspired gowns into existence for RHOC reunion briefs, it looks like he is not waiting around for permission.
