Vogue Business is opening registration for its longevity tech roundtable, a members-only virtual session scheduled for Thursday, 1 October, giving fashion and beauty executives a chance to dig into one of the more genuinely interesting technology conversations to hit the industry in years.
The event runs from 10am to 11am ET (3pm–4pm BST / 4pm–5pm CEST) on Zoom, and follows a companion webinar, The Fashion Executive’s Guide to Longevity Tech, on 10 September. The roundtable is the follow-on: more intimate, more interactive, and restricted to Executive Members only.
Worth flagging: an earlier version of the webinar registration page listed the follow-on session as 22 September. The roundtable page itself states 1 October, which is the date to go by.
What the Longevity Tech Roundtable Covers
The agenda is structured around a brief recap of the webinar’s findings before opening into a 35-to-45-minute Q&A. That’s the bulk of the hour, which is the right call: executive members presumably aren’t paying for a summary they could read.
The companion webinar will examine companies including Oura and Whoop, alongside Neko Health, Prenuvo, and Ezra, with a focus on how these brands are moving beyond hardware into personalisation and next-generation service models, and how AI is reshaping preventative health technology.
The market context is not trivial. The global health check-up market is forecast to reach $79.2 billion by 2030, while the AI-powered wearables space is projected to reach $310.6 billion by 2033, according to the Vogue Business webinar page. For an industry that has spent decades selling the idea of looking well, the pivot to actually monitoring it is an obvious next chapter. Whether the brands currently in this space can build sticky, recurring relationships with consumers beyond the initial device purchase is precisely the kind of question worth an hour of executive time.
Who’s Hosting and Who Should Attend
The session is co-hosted by Vogue Business technology editor Amy O’Brien and executive editor Hilary Milnes. Milnes brings a fairly specific lens to retail and technology coverage: she was Digiday’s first retail reporter, helped launch Glossy and served as its managing editor until 2018, and ran Modern Retail before joining Vogue Business, according to her Shoptalk speaker profile. That’s a career spent watching digital commerce evolve in real time, which is useful context for a conversation about where health tech and fashion are starting to overlap.
The roundtable is structured to be genuinely conversational rather than a panel in disguise. Attendees are encouraged to attend the 10 September webinar first, so the 1 October longevity tech roundtable can skip the basics and get to the harder questions sooner.
Access is restricted to Executive Members. Standard and Professional Members can upgrade. Registration queries go to VBevents@vogue.com, and Zoom details are sent once participation is confirmed.
The longevity tech space has a habit of oscillating between legitimate science and expensive wellness theatre. This is the moment for fashion executives to work out which is which, and what role their industry actually plays in it.
