The Tallulah Willis Idaho wedding had a lot going for it: a Balenciaga gown that took 712 hours to construct, a surprise song performed live by Chris Martin, and a groom who celebrated by dipping his new wife off the altar in one fluid motion. By any measure, it delivered.
Willis, a writer, artist, and advocate, married musician Justin Acee on 8 August 2026 in the backyard of her family’s home in Hailey, Idaho. The pair had matched on an app in January 2023, graduated to texting until 2am, then FaceTime until 4am, and arranged their first in-person meeting at LAX. ‘I did a little weird dance move when I saw him,’ Willis recalls. ‘He laughed instantly, and then we moseyed outside and snuck in a first kiss!’ They got engaged in December 2024 and began planning the wedding in January 2026.
The Idaho Family Home as Backdrop
Choosing the location was the easy part. ‘It’s the place where I learned to run free and be the dreamer that I am today,’ Willis says of the Hailey property. The couple worked with Heather Minor Events, the Sun Valley firm whose principal has been based in the valley for 18 years and is now in her 10th season running the business, to shape the weekend.
The ceremony took place at 6pm on a small island in the backyard, connected to the main property by a wooden bridge. Stylist Brad Goreski accompanied Willis from her mother’s bedroom to the bridge. From there, she walked the aisle alone to meet Acee and their friend Jeremy, who officiated.
Jeremy then went off script. A guitar riff filled the speakers, followed by Chris Martin’s voice and a song that opened with the words ‘Tallulah and Justin, walking down the aisle…’ Willis, a self-described Coldplay devotee since middle school, had also chosen the band’s track ‘A Message’ as her processional. Her mother, Demi Moore, had quietly arranged the whole thing. ‘My jaw dropped open,’ Willis says. The couple laughed through tears. After exchanging self-written vows and rings, Acee swung Willis off the moss-covered platform, dipped her, and kissed her. Then they both cheered.
The Tallulah Willis Idaho Wedding Look: Balenciaga, 712 Hours in the Making
The gown came via Demi Moore, who relayed the news that Balenciaga was willing to make it. Willis sent reference images of 1950s Cristóbal Balenciaga designs; the house sent back seven sketches. She pulled two elements she loved, including a jewelled petal skirt and dramatic hip drapery, and did not see the result until she walked into creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Paris office, where the dress was revealed under natural light from a sunroof. The neckline drew from a Balenciaga look Moore had worn to the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Final construction took 712 hours.
For jewellery, Willis wore ‘mega diamond teardrop earrings’ from XIV Karats, the Beverly Hills boutique at 314 S Beverly Drive, and left her neck bare to let the bodice’s architectural silhouette do its work. Makeup artist Raoul Alejandre kept coverage minimal, adding brown and red to the lash line to offset her blue eyes. Hairstylist Dimitri Giannetos gave her a deliberately undone updo with placed flyaways.
Acee, meanwhile, wore a bespoke tuxedo by Dzojchen, the luxury menswear label with studios in London, Tokyo, and Singapore. The brand also made tuxedos for his father and two brothers, all produced from measurements alone. Dzojchen describes its custom suiting as ‘handmade, impeccably tailored, perfectly fitted and distinctive down to the last detail,’ which is presumably what you want when you’re the only one standing at the altar end of the bridge.
After the Vows: Mini Dress, Samantha Ronson, and One Chris Martin Surprise Already Spent
Once the ceremony concluded and the sun began to set, Willis changed into a micro-mini Vivienne Westwood party dress with a crinoline-lined skater skirt, sourced from LOHO Bride, and went barefoot into the dance tent. The tent was decorated by Eric Buterbaugh in draped fabric, with neon orange flowers and lights at the entrance. Samantha Ronson DJed. The couple’s first dance was to ‘Take Care’ by Beach House.
Speeches came from Acee’s father, Moore, Acee’s brothers, and Willis’s sisters Rumer and Scout. Scout and Moore also signed the marriage licence as witnesses.
As for the days after? ‘I am overwhelmed with gratitude and delight to begin this next chapter,’ Willis says. ‘The wedding was more than my wildest dreams.’ The next test: whether Acee can top the Chris Martin reveal for their first anniversary.
