Delhi is a city that does not fail to amaze. With its many contrasts and the varied attractions it has to offer, you can never get bored of this capital city of India! Plus, if you are staying at Resorts of Oberoi Delhi, it will just add to the fun. Located in the centre of the city, you will find the Red Fort. This is where the Mughal era comes to an end! The Red Fort was built near the old city market and it was made to be a fortified citadel as well as a palace. Over time, however, it turned into a place of history and today, it is one of India’s most visited monuments where you will find a few museums and beautiful gardens. The Red Fort was built as a palace for the Mughal emperor and has since been turned into a museum and now it is visited by thousands and thousands of tourists every year! The architecture looks very unique and is another example of India’s rich culture and history.

2. Lotus Temple

If there is one place that is completely different from all other temples in India, it is the Lotus Temple. It was built by an Iranian architect and you will find it very unique and special. The architecture style is inspired by Islamic Persian architecture, which makes it even more interesting to visit! The Lotus Temple is another beautiful place to visit and there are many interesting things you can do in Delhi when you come here. You will find a huge marble-constructed building with a lot of beautiful architecture on the outside of it. There is not much inside, however, but the building itself attracts many people who want to take pictures of it or just see it from the outside

3. Delhi Zoo

There are many things to do in Delhi for anyone who visits this city or for those who live here and want something new to explore. If you like animals, then we recommend visiting the Delhi Zoo. This is a large zoo and you will find many different types of animals in it! It is a very big zoo, so make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes because there will be plenty of walking you will have to do.

4. Connaught Place

This area is also known as CP and it is a very busy market area! If you are looking for something to do in Delhi, then this place belongs on your list of things to do in Delhi! Many people come here so that they can shop or eat great food or just enjoy the ambience with other people. If you come here, then you should visit The Raj and the many different shops that are situated there.

5. New Delhi City Centre Mall

This is a great place to go shopping if that is the kind of thing you enjoy doing in Delhi! You will find all sorts of international brands here and it is a huge mall. There are over 630 stores! If you like to shop, then this is the perfect place to visit! You will also find a few other attractions inside such as a food court, movie theatre or an ice skating rink.

6. Chandni Chowk Market

This is a great place to visit if you like to visit markets! There are many different things you can buy here and you will find a lot of interesting things in the market. There is a lot of variety from all sorts of countries that come here to buy their spices, small amounts of food, clothes or even electronics! 7. Red Fort Museum

The Red Fort Museum was originally built as an imperial residence for the Mughal emperor. The museum offers an insight into the structure and culture of Mughal India! If you have time, then we would recommend going inside as it is very fascinating and beautiful!

8. Humayun’s Tomb

This is the tomb of the Mughal emperor Humayun who was the second Mughal emperor. He was a great ruler and his tomb is very impressive, especially with its delicate carvings!

9. Qutb Minar

This is a beautiful tower that was built in honour of the first Islamic saint and this monument shows many similarities to modern mosque architecture. It has some great carvings as well which make it even more interesting to visit! The Qutb Minar is a UNESCO World Heritage site, so we recommend visiting it to see how interesting history and art are!

10. India Gate

This is a monument built in honour of India’s freedom from British rule. It was also built as a symbol and reminder to the Indian people who fought for freedom during World War II. The India Gate is very impressive, so if you are looking for something to do in Delhi, then this is worth visiting!

14. Gandhi Smriti

Gandhi Smriti is a contemporary memorial for the man whose political and spiritual life can be considered one of the most meaningful and fascinating chapters in Indian history. The Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat (Raj Ghat) is located on the banks of the Yamuna River and has become a symbol of India’s civil society and its commitment to nonviolence.

15. Nehru Memorial Museum

The Nehru Memorial Museum & Library are two places where people can see the life, work and legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India. The museum houses memorabilia related to his political career, his struggles for Indian independence, his role in the creation of modern India and his opinions on social issues. The museum also contains a library that holds over 1 million books and artefacts related to Nehru’s life as well as more than 200 manuscripts written by him.

16. Constitution club

The Constitution Club is a landmark building established by people in the 1950s to help promote parliamentary democracy in India. Its goal is to preserve the spirit and principles of parliamentary government as it has evolved after independence, while at the same time promoting constitutionalism, open government and democratic institutions. The club has catered to such diverse groups as workers, students, lawyers, journalists, ministers, bureaucrats and military officers.
