El Bolide is already a reality. During Quail Motorsports of California, the convention where motorsport enthusiasts gather, Bugatti fulfilled the dream of many collectors by presenting this vehicle to the public. In 2020, it was first introduced as an experimental hypercar concept but until now it had not been made available to customers.
The Bolide has 1,824 horsepower and an eight-liter W16 engine. In addition, it is equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It can reach 100 kilometers per hour in 2.17 seconds, according to the French car brand.
After the 2020 presentation, Bugatti was asked by a large number of motor enthusiasts to develop the Experimental Race Car as a commercial vehicle, Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann explained, as reported by Bloomberg.
“So we decided to make a few racing cars to give 40 customers the opportunity to experience this incredible vehicle.” The price of this car will reach 4 million euros .
The car weighs just 1,450 kilograms . The name comes from the term ‘ le bolide’ , which means “the racing car” in French. In fact, the Bólido, even if it is sold to individuals, will not be able to be driven anywhere other than a track.
