Making a chair fly isn’t an easy task, but it seems like an easy thing to do to the guys at FliteTest . Alex Zvada and Josh Bixler are the brains behind this curious and fun invention, a couple of YouTubers who share the same passion for drones and the world of aviation on their channel .
The flying skateboard is here to fulfill the dreams of a whole generation Back to the Future fan
In just 24 hours, they set out to create an airplane out of an Ikea Jokkmokk chair , and to demonstrate their passion for flight and their ability to make anything fly, they put a pair of cardboard wings on the chair and They gave it the shape of a plane in the best possible way. All this between laughter that danced between the nervousness to know if his madness was going to work and the fun of the process.
Finally, the motor was tied to the saddle, wheels were put on the legs and a nice propeller led in front. Obviously this chair was going to be remotely controlled with a remote.
This is the first flight of the ‘human drone’: they create a flying backpack with two large propellers
As far as we know, no one had ever built an airplane with an Ikea chair , but the most interesting thing about the project is that the airplane worked perfectly . As seen in the video, the airplane chair rose its first few meters and began to fly. Of course, a stronger motor is probably needed to allow a person to sit in that privileged seat; although, in this case it was a cute stuffed monkey, who seemed to be too heavy for the plane and was ultimately not incorporated into the test.

Behind the laughter and the failed experiments, it seems that these guys really knew that their plane was going to work, we must bear in mind that in all madness there is a bit of genius hidden.
