Lenovo has presented its new range of products for MWC 2021, including new tablets for entertainment, as well as a smartwatch that also has a wireless charging base.
Lenovo has been one of those that has made the best use of the Google Assistant, or at least, the one that has launched more original products. Instead of creating the umpteenth smart speaker, Lenovo came up with the idea for a table clock, the Smart Clock with a small built-in screen to wake us up and help us out in the morning.
Today, the company has evolved this concept, with the new version of the Smart Clock that comes with some major design and functionality changes. The look has changed a bit, now housing a 4-inch IPS technology screen . As usual, we can customize the interface to show us our photographs as a digital photo frame, or information such as the weather forecast.
This after all is a smart speaker with a screen, so it has 3W speakers with a microphone to communicate. Inside, it has a MediaTek MT8167S processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.
Lenovo Smart Clock 2
We have the most interesting detail in the load, because we have two options; We can simply use the USB-A port, or opt for a wireless charging base. The true utility of this is that the base extends, so we can leave our smartphone next to the watch to charge.
Thus, we can put the mobile next to the clock when we go to bed, and find it charged in the morning; Although its power of only 10 W makes it not the best option if we are in a hurry, at least it is compatible with Apple’s MagSafe. The base also has an outlet to charge another device, such as a watch.
The Lenovo Smart Clock 2 will be available next August, at a price of 89.99 euros in Spain.
New Lenovo tablets
Lenovo has also introduced several Android tablets, the Yoga Tab 11 and the Yoga Tab 13, but the novelty here is that they are designed to enjoy multimedia content. They come with the Google Entertainment Space pre-installed, an interface that will remind us of the one used in televisions with Android TV or Google TV and from which we can find movies and series in all our services. We can also turn them into smart speakers by starting the Google Assistant mode.
Lenovo Yoga Tab
The Yoga Tabs have a handle, which can be used both for transport, as well as to leave the tablet standing up and be able to watch content or play without having to keep the tablet in hand.
The Yoga Tab 13 is the most complete model, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and a 2160 x 1350 pixel resolution screen, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of storage and a 10,000 mAh battery with 30W fast charge ; instead, the Yoga Tab 11 has a MediaTek Helio G90T with 4/8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage, a 2,000 x 1,000 pixel screen and a 7,500 mAh battery with 20 W charging.
They will be available this June, the Yoga Tab 13 for 799 euros and the Yoga Tab 11, for 349 euros.
