An Israeli company is training an artificial intelligence named ‘Cecilia’ to make cocktails and serve them to its customers. With this robotic waitress, bars will not have to call on a skilled bartender and will ensure that consumers are satisfied with their order.
The artificial intelligence is displayed on a screen and can be given directions by voice or the touch screen below Cecilia . To pay, the user can use their bank card or do it by mobile phone .
After charging, the machine begins to mix it inside and then offers it to the customer in a glass through the sales slot.
The CEO of the company, Elad Kobi, has detailed that she ” works on speech recognition ” and ” can talk to customers .” In addition, Kobi ensures that consumers will not miss the show, since ” when they choose a specific cocktail , you can prepare it live .”
As detailed by the Israeli brand, each Cecilia can be filled with 70 liters of different liquors . Likewise, artificial intelligence is capable of serving up to 120 cocktails per hour while enlivening your preparations with entertaining talks with customers.
At the moment, the firm has already launched one of its robots on February 24 of this year, that is, the International Bartender Day. This test model has been used in some events, such as the one organized by Microsoft , the accounting group KPMG and the technology company Cisco.
Kobi believes that its technology can be very useful for bars or pubs that want to innovate and ” surprise ” their consumers. On the other hand, it is also highlighted that cocktail robots can be more efficient and benefit establishments specialized in this service.
The company offers the possibility to the locals to hire a Cecilia for 2000 dollars ( approximately 1700 euros ) per month. However, there is also the option to buy it for $ 45,000 ( about € 39,300 ).
” There is always a shortage of workers,” says Alan Adojaan, CEO of Yanu, a company that recently also announced its robotic bartender. You have to train them, but then they leave. There is a great staff turnover ”.
” We target places that have a high turnover of customers, such as sporting events, festivals or nightclubs – Adojaan points out about his machine -. The machine is very fast: it can work as fast as three and a half waiters and make 100 drinks per hour. It can hold up to 1200 drinks “.
