Zack Shutt, the co-founder of the aforementioned company, told The Guardian that his company was founded in November 2020 , taking into account that he did not know anything about what would happen to Facebook in the future. They also recently submitted the necessary documents to formally register their trademark.
According to TMZ reports, at the moment the request for the Meta PCs trademark has not yet been granted, in addition, the company would be willing to renounce its name if Facebook pays it $ 20 million . On the other hand, Zuckerberg’s company believe they have the necessary rights to acquire the name on their products and services.

The beginning of a battle between both companies
Zuckerberg’s company has already made its first dives into the virtual reality industry.
There is a possibility that a legal battle will be born between Meta PCs and Facebook’s Meta to find out who gets the trademark name in the end. The same day that Facebook’s name change was made public, Shutt shared a video on Twitter in which he made a parody similar to the one that Zuckerberg did when publishing the news.
“To reflect who we are and what we hope to build, I am proud to announce that we are now Facebook,” Shutt says in the video.
