The hairiest dogs in the UK have officially been revealed.
Cordless cleaning experts at Gtech have published a brand new infographic showing the bushiest breeds in Britain.
German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and Charles Spaniels are all at the top end of the shaggy scale, whilst Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Cockapoos and French Bulldogs rank among the least hairy.
The infographic also includes tips on how to control pet hair in the home whilst busting a few myths along the way. Research shows that hair length does not impact shedding levels in dogs, and that shaving isn’t an effective or recommended method to stop moulting, either.
The information arrives at an important time. More Brits have been returning to workplaces and spending less time at home in 2021, and experts have claimed that a culture of poor pet management has started creeping in as a result.
According to the Kennel Club, a shocking one in five new dog owners admit they didn’t consider the extra responsibilities of pet ownership upon purchase. One in four say they did less than two hours of research prior to bringing their new dog home.
By taking time to research breeds, prospective pet owners can prepare themselves to look after their dogs more effectively.
