Micha will go on to study A Levels and Kuda plans to study space engineering.  Jack Whitehead is progressing to study engineering and Poppy Keddie, who achieved nine GCSEs at Grade 7 and above will join Leicester College of Performing Arts.

“Three students who achieved eight GCSEs each have secured places at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College: Kuba Wysocki will study music, Ria Powell is taking up health and social care, and Melissa Cushen has chosen business.

“The last two years have been extremely challenging for our Year 11 pupils and we have been impressed by the commitment that they have shown to their studies with the ongoing and professional support of their teachers.

“Pupils have also benefited from the fantastic support of their parents and carers, as well as the wider Midland Academies Trust family, during this difficult period. Our focus is now on supporting our pupils and helping them to progress on to the next stage in their education, training, or employment.”

Marion Plant, OBE FCGI, Chief Executive of the Midland Academies Trust said, “Congratulations to all our pupils who are collecting their results today. They have shown a great deal of resilience in coping with unique circumstances of the pandemic, and we are exceptionally proud of their achievements.

“Gaining good GCSE grades, especially in the core subjects of maths and English, is so important to pupils’ future progress. Our teachers have set high expectations of all our pupils, who have consistently been supported to maintain their learning and continue to progress. We wish them the best of luck for the future as they take their next steps.”
